Been Keeping Busy....

Went to see the "Toughest Monster Truck" show down at the Larimer County Fairgrounds, aka "The Ranch". I've been to lots of different motorsports events, but this was a first.

Good Gravy those things are LOUD. 500 cubic inches of Big Block Chevy, with a blower, running in an enclosed arena, can make quite a bit of racket through open exhaust. Glad I brought my Peltor muffs!

With Riverrider in mind, I post this:

Swiped from FakeBook, and of course the "Fact Checkers" had a field day with it.

We got some sprinkles, and 15 miles East of here got clobbered with ping-pong ball sized hail. Glad it missed us, but hope WSF got through it OK, as it was headed his way..

Have a good weekend!

  1. We stayed in the clear, for now. Between hail and truck wrecks, Sisty stay busy as an insurance adjuster. She recently was on a fire in a restaurant grill ventilation system. To gain access for grease cleaning, a rocket scientist used a plasma cutter to open access portals.

    1. The stoopid is strong in that guy, eh?

Knew a guy who worked installing mobile radios for the LAPD. They had a new guy who didn't know much, and when he mounted the radio gear in the trunk, he drilled through the trunk floor, and down into the gas tank.

Not once, but SIX times before somebody stopped him.

Six brand-new Crown Vics waiting for gas tanks from Ford....

  2. I like that meme. Saw another one that said "If COVID was so dangerous, where are all the biohazard bins for facemasks and gloves?"

Glad you are doing okay in Creeping Socialism Colorado.

Here in Free Face Florida the stupid still burns as the eneMedia is taking things out of context and trying their darndest to start a panic, like talking about how 3 teachers have gotten/died from der Covid. Dudes, school hasn't started yet. And children aren't spreaders.

    1. We were supposed to take TLG, who loves MONSTER TRUCKS!!, but his mama is a bit "woke", and with their newborn, she's a bit paranoid about teh plague.

We're going to another birthday party in Wyo next week, and we'll see how things are up there.

    1. I knew they were LOUD, but we were in the first row back, and you could feel the exhaust pulses when they came past us.

We had very good seats, and the show was a blast, especially the Free Style motocross guys. You gotta be a little bit "different" to jump a 350cc dirt bike off a 25' high ramp, flip the bike when you're in the air, and then bring it back down on another 25' high ramp made of dirt.
