Looks Like These Survey Flights Are Common.

 This one's out East of here.


This is what caught my eye.


This is a "light" day for air traffic. There's times I've seen sixty aircraft in the area I can monitor.

    1. That area is in the heart of the Wattenberg formation, Colorado's biggest oil and gas field.

    2. Interesting. One of the other survey flights I spotted was down NFO's way, and he said it was over one of the big oil fields in TX.

    1. No, aerial mapping. The company flying that aircraft does aerial photo-surveying, and WSF said that's Colorado's biggest oil and gas field.
