So Much for "Two to Six Inches of Snow".....

Yep, it stopped snowing around 2130, and we didn't get any more. Total was 3~4", and most of that has disappeared already. The sidewalks are clear, and the streets are melting.

Guess my threat of firing up the Ariens scared it away.

Colder than you-know-what today; Bright and sunny, but only about 15 degrees. Got down to 3* last night, and expected to be below zero tonight.

Time to stoke the fireplace and watch "The Glenn Miller Story" tonight.

  1. All our walks are bare. Cleared about 4" off the vehicles with the snow rake.

    1. We didn't even get that much on the cars. The sidewalks were clear by noon, and even the driveway's almost clear. Supposed to be high 50's this weekend!

  2. Have you taken my advice about a snow blower war with a neighbor?

    1. Yeah, you'll probably just get some cold rain.

  4. Grew up in Longmont and Loveland. The snow only stays around during the dead of winter there. Mid November till early February. By March the sun is strong enough to melt it quickly no matter the temperature.

    1. We're over on the West side of FoCo. Plenty of snow here on the roofs and yards, but the streets are clear now.

  5. Now if you still had that electric one, it would have snowed 12-16" and the power would be out.

By having The Monster you have managed to chase the badness away.

It's like how to summon rain, several methods: Wash your car. Open the roof to repair a hole. Have an outdoor wedding.

    1. ROFL!

The electric one would have struggled with 12". The opening for the auger was only about 8~9" tall, and it didn't do damp/wet snow well at all.

12" would have this one saying "Oh....it snowed?"....

  6. Much like Beans said here in Philly. The snowthrower was ready to go and the predicted 2-4 inches turned out to be nothing.
