Diesel Is How Much?

Was just listening to a Ham in Australia talking about fuel prices. Last year diesel fuel was $1 per liter.

This year it's $2.50 per liter. A two-hundred and fifty per cent increase, all due to "policies", and not the true cost.

Astounding.....

  1. Manipulations everywhere. When low sulfur diesel was rammed down our throats, the price at the pump soared. Extra costs in production was a minor reason. The main reason was our diesel now met European standards and there empty tankers returning to the Middle East for another load of crude to haul it.

    1. And it was the California Air Resources Board that forced it on everybody. They demanded it for Kommiefornia, and since the oil companies could make a few $$, they went right along with it. The EuroTrash, being hip to All Things California, picked it up from there....

  2. It's a big increase, but it's not 250%. If it was a dollar and it went to two dollars, that's a 100% increase. So two dollars and fifty cents is a 150% increase.

    1. It's 250% of what was previous, which is a 150% increase. Different way of saying the same thing.

  3. $1.90 a gallon (yes gallon, not liter) in Ecuador last year, $1.90 a gallon in Ecuador this year... suck it!
