OK, Here's The New Little Guy!

Wife can't figure out how to email phone pix to me, which means they get sent as text attachments.

Which means I have to download them from my phone to this PC, which takes a bit due to my having to use a program to access my phone from this Linux PC.

Oh, well.......

This is one of the first ones we have, shortly after birth.

Cleaned up and getting checked out.

The breathing tube was removed after about 36 hours, as he was breathing fine on his own. It was replaced with a headgear/nose mask in the following pix to supply him with extra O2.

And here he is with his Mom.

So tiny.....And Mom looks really tired....

Feeding time.

I had thought that they'd keep him in the Natal ICU until his due date, like they had to with his brother, but The Kids informed me it's based on "scores" much more than time, so if he does well, he'll be released early. Time off for good behavior, I guess.

So his Mom went home today, and TLG was happy to see her, but wondered where his brother was. He's actually taking it in quite good stride, and I know he'll be an excellent Bog Brother!

    1. His Momma said he was kicking up a storm a day or two before delivery.

  2. Excuse me. I don't like what I see. This precious one doesn't look right. Way below weight and length. And this is No. 2, No. 1 had to fight the same fight? Something ain't right. I see some signs but withhold judgement. Please explain.

    1. Thanks for asking, Rick.

He was 10 weeks early, delivered by c-section. His Momma started to show signs of pre-eclampsia (Rising BP, protein in urine, etc) so they made the call, and did the surgery.

His big brother had the same type of delivery, for the same reasons, but was smaller, and weighed 7 ounces less. Had us really going the first few weeks after delivery.

  3. That one is a little warrior! And very cute. I'm happy that it all worked out and give a hat tip to modern medicine that helped make him possible. I had two grandchildren who arrived very much that way and in that condition and they have done remarkably well. It's a blessing.

    1. We marveled at what it took to keep TLG going until he was ready to come home, and even then he was tethered in his crib with all kinds of stuff hooked up to him, and an alarm panel.

ANYTHING out of the ordinary set the alarm off, waking up Mom and Dad to see to it.

      And now he's a happy, healthy, smart-as-a-whip 4 year old with a 4 year old's incredible energy.

    1. Thanks, WSF. Yeah, SLW was really worried, but as soon as she saw the pix, her "Mom Sense" told her things were good, and she was very relieved.

Keep it civil, please....

Gloomy, Gritty, Grey Day

At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...
