Wild Weather South Of Us

Baseball size hail in Denver, and a confirmed tornado in the Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree area, about 12 miles South of Denver.

We're getting a light drizzle, and I don't expect much more, but who knows.

Tomorrow is my post-op appointment for The Procedure I had performed on Monday. All the lab results have come back as "Benign" or "Negative", so that's good news. I just might be coming down the back straight on this issue, which would be really good news.

  1. Hail is especially damaging to small (and maybe to large) airplanes, especially when they are on the tie-down line (not in a hangar). Baseball-sized hailstones would be a travesty.

Good on the medix report. - you're getting close to the finish line and winner's circle I think.

    1. I'll be happy just to get on the podium!

Hail can be devastating here. The place we stayed at in Laporte got hit really bad after we bought the house and moved in. Their place looked like somebody took an M60 to it.
Steel roofs are a big deal in certain places out here.....

  2. The local rag had a story about concert goers at the Red Rocks venue getting hit with hail. Several people were hospitalized.

    1. I read about that last night on the "Denver and Front Range Weather" Farcebook page. The promoters and the staff threw the dice on the weather warnings, and crapped out. Most of the meteorology people are quite upset about have the blame thrown at them. They just report the weather and issue the warnings. It's entirely up to the promoters if the show goes on or not.
