Total snow was about 6~8", but half o0f it melted as soon as it hit, and we never had more than 3" on the ground at any one time. All I had to shovel were the front steps, and a path down the driveway.
The streets are dry now, and it's forecast for 50* on Sunday, so most of it will be gone, and all of it by Friday.
And the Ariens still slumbers..
You know the second that the Ariens is down for maintenance that 3' of heavy snow will drop.
ReplyDeleteThe Ariens is doing its job just by being ready to do its job.
Yep. It's my "Monster Repellent"!
DeleteWe got about 6" of slush and all is gone. A relative in Florence got 26" measured on her deck. Showed a FB picture of a tape measure. Their electricity was out for twenty hours.
ReplyDeleteIt was a holy mess in the mountains but we need the snow pack for the summer.
Had an assignment today about 16 miles from Sidney, NE. Dry roads, light winds, no traffic and no drama - just 5 hours of windshield time.
Sounds about like my son got. They called him the night before and cancelled ops for that day, as all their clients were cancelling. So he's been having a ball getting his new place in shape. The previous owners left him a ton of "good stuff" like a one-year old lawnmower that's going for $900 at HD, and nice set of older, well-made AMERICAN garden tools, new garden hoses, tons of "Homeowner Hardware", and he's lovin' it!
DeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day. Spring is here! We (in AZ) should be up to 80 degrees F by next week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bob. The 18th will mark the one-year "anniversary" of my getting ambushed and taken out by that extension cord! Not sure if SLW will be doing corned beef this year. We'll have the whole clan here for Easter, so she might be "saving up" for that!
DeleteGlad to hear it!
ReplyDeleteYup, we dodged a big one!
