Been busier than a one-armed paper hanger doing house stuff, and getting things squared away for Christmas, which we're hosting this year. Should be about 25 people, and SLW is gathering all the fixin's to feed that many. Wood's been cut, split, and stacked in case we want a fire, but with 20+ people in the house, it won't be cold.
Anywhoo....got a real post in work, and I'll get it up....whenever?
Have a safe weekend, keep your head on a swivel, and always be in Condition Yellow outside!

Minor car problem slowing things down. The driver door won't open. Going into the shop Monday. Probably just some broken plastic parts that have gotten brittle.
ReplyDeleteOr it could be a broken clip on the operating rods inside the door.
DeleteInside or outside handle?
Thankfully, we're going to be celebrating with some of the neighbors, but nothing like 20+ persons. And this weekend we're going to be keeping warm with a couple of good low-carb dishes: Sweet'n'Sour Pork and Jalapeno Popper Chicken Casserole.
ReplyDeleteChristmas eve will be (1) TBD and Christmas Day Prime Rib.
In spite of the lousy economy, we're determined to have a great Christmas and New Years. We're all set to pull it off.
Yeah, it's gonna be a Full House!
DeleteHave fun with family, drjim. Don't worry about a post. You can catch us up after. You all be safe and God bless. And Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. Merry CHRISTmas to you, too!
DeleteThat sounds very nice, DRJIM. A house full of people is what Christmas is all about. Hopefully there will be snow to allow the children to make snowmen and have snowball fights.
ReplyDeleteBe at least six little ones here. Food will be eaten, beverages will be consumed, paper will fly, and the joyous sound of happy children will ring through the house.
DeleteAh yes, the 'Christmas cleaning' "OMG, people are coming, the house is filthy! We must clean! And I must cook, and we must clean again!" And you're dog tired by the time company shows up. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteThat's why we started two weeks early!
