Welcome To The Weekend!

And we're off to the Larimer County Fair!

Photo crew will be SLW and my son. TLG has been talking about it all week....

Have fun and be safe out there!

  1. County fairs are usually more homey events than the larger state fairs. The livestock judging is a big affair.

    1. Yep. The 4H judging is taken very seriously. The in-laws who live on the ranch have an across the road neighbor who raises prize-winning pigs, and his sons are learning the ropes. The pigs are sold at a certain age/weight, and they move on to new piglets.

I'm sure the woke would be aghast at such barbaric behavior!

    1. We had a great time. Got there about 1700, and stayed until 2100 when they had the fireworks. It wasn't crowded at all until around 7~8PM, and then the after work and after school crowds showed up. We'll definitely go on opening day again next year.

    1. You'd love this one, Jules. Lots of food (well...maybe not in your case!), with lots of live music, cowboys and cowgirls walking around, lots of displays of local crafts, equipment displays (an $800,000 combine!), big and little kids everywhere, a carnival with rides...etc, etc, etc. True Americana!

Keep it civil, please....

Gloomy, Gritty, Grey Day

At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...
