USAF Thunderbirds to Fly Over Northern Colorado.

Got a big lens on my camera, and the weather is forecast to be partly sunny and 50*.

Read more about it here.

  1. As of 0900 Greeley has a low cloud ceiling, probably 1200'AGL. As long as the cloud ceiling doesn't get lower, we should be in for a treat!

    1. Got my 400mm zoom lens on the Nikon. Hope to get a least a couple of decent pix.

  2. While any opportunity to watch the T-Birds is appreciated, it sure seems spurious to attribute this flight plan as a tribute to Covid responders.
Especially over a state that has been relatively minimally hit?

  3. They need to be seen. Consider it a bit of a show for those that are stuck in the house. Good for them.

    1. If I see them, it will be only the second time I've seen the Thunderbirds in flight. I saw them at an airshow in SoCal decades ago, so this will be a treat.

  4. 1400. Black eye for the Air Force. Thirty minutes later than announced schedule, one, repeat one, flew by 8 miles North of the local hospital they were to fly over. There were a lot of people, many with their kids, standing around some of the high points.

Keep it civil, please....

Gloomy, Gritty, Grey Day

At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...
