Another Interesting Flight Path, But At Night This Time.

I suppose with all the "Multi-Spectral" sensors out there these days, it doesn't matter much what time of day you do your mapping flights.

This is the first time I've seen one after sundown, though,

    1. This is a civilian aircraft being flown by "XYZ Mapping Services" or a similar name.

With all the development going on here they're probably just aerial surveys.

  2. As sloppy as that track is, I'm guessing it's a training flight for a new pilot.

    1. It's definitely not the clean tracks I've seen before. Maybe they were testing a new payload and weren't too concerned about neatness.

  3. No, if they were payload testing, the accuracy would have been there. Just sayin...

    1. You're most likely correct, but I thought they'd do training flights during daylight.

Keep it civil, please....

Gloomy, Gritty, Grey Day

At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...
