It's LOG TIME!
A blast from the past.....
There's a longer, much funnier commercial, but I can't embed it, so here's the link to it.
Admiral Yamamoto infamously said "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a man with a rifle behind every blade of grass."
And so it should be, a nation of riflemen....

Thinking about getting some more 22LR for my little Marlin semi-auto. I already have a good stock of 22LR, but they're all Wolf and Fio...
My children loved Ren and Stimpy. I think that they're off the air now for being politically incorrect - like Heckle and Jeckle, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMy son and I used to watch it when he was little.
ReplyDeleteHe liked Mr, Horse, and I liked Powdered Toast Man.
I never heard of those characters, but I remember Heckle and Jeckle!

Do not go gentle into that good log,
ReplyDeleteOld wood should burn and ember at close of day;
Rage, rage against the charcoal of the light.
Though wise logs at their end know sparks take flight,
Because their embers had forked no fire they
Do not go gentle into that smoked fight..
Good logs, the last roll by, crying how heavy
Their frail deeds might have danced in a wooden way,
Rage, rage against the drying of the moss.
Wild logs who caught and sang the fire in light,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not log gentle into that good ash.
Grave logs, near death, who rot with blinding blight
Birds eyes could woodpecker raze like chainsaws of the day,
Rage, rage against the culling of the log.
And you, my pinecone father, fell from sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce fire, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good ash.
Rage, rage against the kiln in that we burn tonight.
