I love old music from the 1940's. One of the reasons I keep my satellite radio is the 1940's channel.
ReplyDeleteI remember that song! Iron Butterly. Haven't heard that name in a long time.
I love Big Band stuff, along with "swing". When the Lane Victory used to go out on cruises, they always had a band aboard, and some professional dancers to get the crowd "primed". It was amazing to see folks well older than myself dancing to the music from their youth.
ReplyDeleteThe Iowa usually does similar things a couple of times a year, and it's just great to see people in the 80's and 90's ( !! ) dancing like they were 20 again....

Very nice! I love big band!! I used to go to Concerts in the Park, throw my blanket on the ground, pour a glass of wine and just enjoy the heck out of it...wonderful...seems I need to be posting some....thanks for the hint! Good Stuff!!
