Love it or hate it, this song was one of the defining songs of "my" generation.
Working on the "Honey Dew" list today while the wife is out visiting friends.
Have to recaulk the bathtub seal to the tile on thee wall, fill in some holes the little dog created, and start cleaning up/organizing the Radio Room, which I have let totally get out of hand over the last several months of working on projects and such.
Hope y'all have a good weekend, and I'm off work for the next SIXTEEN days.
YAY!
Admiral Yamamoto infamously said "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a man with a rifle behind every blade of grass."
And so it should be, a nation of riflemen....

Thinking about getting some more 22LR for my little Marlin semi-auto. I already have a good stock of 22LR, but they're all Wolf and Fio...
That's a nice long break, sir - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreat song!
ReplyDeleteAh, the Chambers Brothers. Who's next, Hawkwind?
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of a 16-day break. I'm sure you'll put it to good use. I don't have a radio room as such. Just a couple workbenches in my 1 bdr apartment which are too cluttered to use for their intended purpose. I'll be working on that over the next few days, as I need the space to build what's going to end being a mast holder and bulkhead for getting an Arrow j-pole up outside on the N side of the building. That'll open up a bunch of repeaters for me -- well, that's the intended result. High probability of success there, as they're all north/west of my location.
In the year 2525 .......
Maybe a little King Crimson?
DeleteStill working on getting the old caulking out of the bathtub. My wife's oldest son did the tile work some years ago, and he didn't start at the tub, he started at the top of the tile! This required him to cut some thin slices of tile to fill in the gap between the last tile and the tub, and that makes it a real PITA to get the old caulk out without knocking loose the filler strips he used.
Oh, well......
Lark's Tongues in Aspic? Sounds good to me.
DeleteRemoving old grout? I'll pass. ;-)
Inna-Gadda-Da-Vita ...
I Talk To The Wind, or 21st Century Schizoid Man/
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm lucky it's not grout. it's just old silicone sealer type caulk.
Just about have it all removed and cleaned out. Tomorrow morning I'll apply the new stuff (Loctite "PolySeamSeal") with my *new* Ryobi powered caulking gun.
I have a lot more caulking to do over the holiday, so I got one for $40 at Home Depot. It uses the same "One+" Li-Ion battery as my other Ryobi tools, so I thought it was a good deal.

Oh yeah, remember that one well! And enjoy the days off!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's a really great song!
