Well, we put another one on-target.
After safeing and stowing the rest of my systems on the platform, we'll head back to Long Beach late Sunday afternoon. It takes about 7 days to get back, and then I'm taking a couple of days off.
Gonna head to Angeles Shooting Range with my son for some rifle time!
Admiral Yamamoto infamously said "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a man with a rifle behind every blade of grass."
And so it should be, a nation of riflemen....

At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...

ReplyDeleteYep, 2 MILLION pounds of thrust with a 900,000 pound launch weight makes for quite a scooter!
ReplyDeleteThis was a relatively light weight satellite, and it came off the pad like a bottle rocket.
Caught us all by surprise, and I almost lost track on it.
