Galloping Ghost lost something and went vertical to get out of the crowd of planes, rolled over and drove straight into teh ground right in front of the box seats. Got a call from a friend on the flight line. (crew chief on another bird). He called to tell me he and the crew were safe.
ReplyDeleteSad loss, especially for those who only were there to enjoy the spectacle. Jimmy Leeward was one hellva pilot, and from what I've seen, something 'broke' on the bird. Thoughts and prayers for all.
