Got about 10" here, as seen on my "snow gauge".
And my son and I had it all cleared in about 30 minutes. Very dry, powdery snow like the skiers love, and the Ariens could almost blow it all the way across the street.
I'm quite pleased with how well the snowblower works, and it's pretty easy on gas, too. The last time we used it I started with a full tank, and when I refueled it after we were done, it took maybe a quart of gas. It steers very easily (YAY!) and I'm getting used to the controls and how to drive it.
Nothing dry and powdery about ours.
ReplyDeleteThe tractor was getting bogged trying to push ours across the driveway.
Yeah, the snow I grew up with in Illinois was usually wet, heavy stuff.
DeleteNOT fun!
Brrrrr!
ReplyDeleteIt was 12* when we cleared the snow, Parson.
DeleteAnd it's going down to minus ten tonight....
The snow rake got a workout today. Must be over ten years old with hundreds of vehicles cleared and still going strong. Have I got my $40 spent back in use yet?
ReplyDeleteMine makes clearing the truck VERY easy.
DeleteAnd I still get catalogs from Sid Savage!
Almost sounds like a superhero name.....
Most excellent. Sounds so much better than that electric piece of dog squeeze.
ReplyDeleteThe housing the auger was in was only about 10" tall, which would choked that thing the first good bite you took. It could have done this 10", but barely, and probably only one pass down the sidewalks before the batteries died.
DeleteAnd it took 14 hours to recharge them!
And people tell me that electric vehicles are the FUTURE!
DeleteYeah, in their rainbow-unicorn-fart world, maybe....
DeleteWe've had maybe 2 inches of powdery snow. I'm watching the kids next door build a snowman, and enjoying their having fun! Ours will be gone by tomorrow...
ReplyDeleteIt's only 18* today, so this is going to stick around for a while!
DeleteGot down to minus eleven last night, and will be below zero again tonight...
