Final 747 Off The Line Does Some Fancy Flying

 Saw a post over at BRM's place, and found a link to this in one of the comments. It's the flight path from the Flight Aware website, and it's damn near as cool as Tex Johnson's Barrel Roll in the Dash-80.

  2. There was a fantastic documentary on its creation and safety record long ago. Can't remember which network History or discover ran it but the history of that plane is really cool

    1. There have been several excellent documentaries on how Boeing "Bet The Farm" on the 747. Just building the assembly hall was quite a feat.

    1. I'm wondering who plotted the flight path, and how they loaded it into the autopilot. I didn't know commercial aircraft had that capability.

 At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...
