ReplyDeleteThe album was released in 1973, after Steppenwolf had run out of steam.
ReplyDeleteThey had a Steppenwolf reunion band from 1974~1976, and again from 1977 to 1980, but they never really "got their groove back".
They now tour as John Kay and Steppenwolf, but that's been pretty on-and-off.
I'll never forget the first time I heard "The Pusher", a Hoyt Axton song, on the "underground FM radio" out of Chicago. Totally blew me away....
