We Needed Rain, and WHOO-BOY did we get it.

We received .7" in about 45 minutes. The max rate was 6.26"/Hour.

We had water pooling in spots of the front yard, and the streets had small rivers running fast through the streets.

Thank You, Lord!

  1. Our big rainstorm happened at about 3 AM on the 12th. Lightning and Thunder had little Tucker shaking and nearly inconsolable. He got over it pretty quick though when it let up.

The dirt road, which doubles as a desert wash, had considerable flow as evidenced by the amount of alluvium washed down the road.

We also are grateful to The Lord for the rain.

  2. Thunder doesn't seem to bother Luna very much, and gunshots don't bother her, either. Fireworks are another category, and we have to give her some mild tranqs.

  3. Yesterday's rains were hit and miss. As I type we are getting light rain.

    1. We picked up another .07", which gives us .81" in two days. Tonight was nice, gentle showers here, but there's Flash Flood Warnings all over the place.
