Groan....The big winds that went through here a couple of weeks ago did some damage. The South run of the backyard fence gave up the ghost under an onslaught of 75+MPH winds. And when the fence blew over it took out one of my Elevated Radials for my 20M/14MHz antenna.
It also uprooted a 60' Blue Spruce down on the corner, causing some traffic delays and people scrambling around to get it out of the road. Really a shame, as it was a gorgeous tree, and the corner looks barren now.
Much progress on the Supra, but it's the "invisible" kind of stuff like the wiring harnesses (two of three rebuilt and installed), clutch hydraulics, getting various things properly routed, mounted, laid-in-place and secured, and sorting out items I haven't seen in two years or so.
More to come with pix......
Glad that y'all are safe after the windstorm. Shame about the damage, but it will heal in time.
ReplyDeleteStay well, safe and watch the six.
Yeah, it was pretty crazy. The 'good' thing is that all the fencing will be less than 5 years old!
DeleteOther than 2002 this is the strangest winter I've spent in Colorado. Next winter may be far different with the equatorial waters in the Pacific warming 3 °C. Depending on the jet stream, we may see a 180° different winter.
ReplyDeleteThe dry conditions are alarming. I want to use the Baker Draw Shooting Range soon and that area is bone dry - extreme fire conditions.
The first Winter we were here was mild, then we got clobbered, then 'normal' for the next few years. Last year I only needed the snowblower a couple of times, and this past Winter it just sat in the garage.
DeleteI'm hoping for a wet, but not too wet, Spring
Just think. All our lives we actually thought when we retired we'd have more time to play instead of it turning into more stuff to work on. And I'm considering working on the Supra as play.
ReplyDeleteYep, it's a two-edged sword, SiG! I look at working on the Supra as "Occupational Therapy" to keep my hands busy, and electronics work as additional therapy to keep my brain busy!
