The temp dropped 25* in 30 minutes last night when the cold front blew through last night.
And it's been pretty much 35* and 35 MPH winds all day.
And still no sign of precip......
Work continues on the Supra, and.....GASP.....I've started putting parts back ON the car instead of taking them off.
I just might have turned the corner on this...........
Looking at the forecast, this wind will continue tomorrow. 23 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
ReplyDeleteWhen you finish the Supra (is any project finished?) in this climate, it will last 50 years assuming grand children don't drive it.
Yeah, and my son works outside in it. He likes it, and it pays well.
DeleteIf it's garaged when not being driven, and has proper maintenance done to it, I'd wager ~75 years.
You're right, Project Cars are never really done. SLW is happy that things are getting bolted back on!
Keep safe with the weather there.
ReplyDeleteOK on the Supra turning the corner. Lotsa work, but worth it.
Oh, yeah! I grew up in similar weather in Northern Illinois, but with 50% less wind. It took SLW a couple of years to adjust to it, but she's done very well. FOUR studded snow tires on a FWD car gets around town quite well.
DeleteI've got 75% of the various assemblies refurbished and bagged on the shelf, and I bolted on the wiper motor, heater control valve, new horns, and I only have two more items to get powder coated.
Good time to stay inside and do productive things!
ReplyDeleteWhich is exactly what I've been doing....
