They recommend Min-Wax products, so I'll look in to those.

The ammo I have is 150 gr loaded specifically for the M1. CMP also sells some Hornady stuff loaded for the M1.

When I finally get the reloading bench set up, I'll go with loads specifically for the M1. It's the only 30-06 rifle I'll probably ever own!drjimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647484115197408897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4901205574058136834.post-33474022883219044632013-07-12T12:20:01.229-07:002013-07-12T12:20:01.229-07:00Linseed oil. And that cartouche is a CMP cartouche...Linseed oil. And that cartouche is a CMP cartouche, signifying that it's one of their Special Grades and a new stock. Most impressive indeed. You've got a real keeper there.
Remember--no heavy commercial ammo. Stick to military loads, or if you must, hunting rounds 150gr. and under. And if you do that, consider an aftermarket adjustable gas plug for it.Murphy's Lawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17164780742334950772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4901205574058136834.post-49410176845081838162013-07-12T09:24:31.367-07:002013-07-12T09:24:31.367-07:00Nice!Nice!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4901205574058136834.post-5604766285062701422013-07-12T06:58:49.539-07:002013-07-12T06:58:49.539-07:00That's a sweet rifle.
