The satellite contacts counted as regular 'phone contacts.

So we only managed 270 bonus points vs the over 600 we expected.

We only operated about 12 hours total, and wound up with about 1600 points.

We definitely won't bother with satellite next year, and hopefully, if there's an "Camp Battleship Overnight Program" event with the Scouts or school kids, we can scrape up another couple of members and operate all 24 hours.

One of our radio members is an old Signalman, and has taken on the responsibility for the Signal Flag Locker, and keeping the flags in good shape.

Now if we can just find an Aldis lamp in good condition......drjimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05647484115197408897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4901205574058136834.post-5233910807757341692015-07-01T12:12:09.985-07:002015-07-01T12:12:09.985-07:00Thanks for the report and great pictures. Plan to save this with the other satellite information you pointed me to last week.

"without radio, you couldn't manage the battles the ships fought in."
You could man the signal light and flags next year. :)Terryhttp://jterryt.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4901205574058136834.post-35653267466244944642015-06-30T17:39:43.163-07:002015-06-30T17:39:43.163-07:00Lessons learned...
