Dirt Bike Does Ski Jump

  1. 1960 my buddy and I rode a homemade sled off the 90 meter jump at Steamboat Springs (late at night). We only went about 100'. No injuries, but the packed snow on the hill was disturbed.

    The town was in an uproar and we were,for a time, the most wanted people in Routt County. While we were dumb enough to do it, we were smart enough to keep our mouths shut.

    1. Worst we did was "skitchin", riding along on the snowy streets on a trash can lid getting pulled by a car.

 At 1700 local it's as described in the headline; 30*F, 88% RH, completely overcast, snowing like crazy (small flakes, but lots of them)...
