Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Corned beef is cooking for dinner...CHECK!

Irish Salt Bread purchased............CHECK!

Potatoes being readied.................CHECK!

The potatoes are the important part. Since I'm half Irish, and half Polish, potatoes were akin to religion when I was growing up.

And my sweet little wife knows that, and treats them with the reverence they so deserve.....

  1. We forgot the bread. Bummer.

    A little off topic:
Reminded me of a structures engineer I worked with at now defunct airline years ago. He grew up in Poland in the '30's and told a story about how they had to live on cabbage. So many don't know any history today. Not really a St. Patrick day comment, but I did think of Whitey. His work speciality was developing repairs for Lockheed L-188 Electra wing planks.

Sorry for the off topic post.
